Payroll Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY


Xclusive Trading Inc is seeking a hands-on Payroll Analyst to support management across our multi-unit retail operations. This role is responsible for payroll processing, reviewing payroll data for accuracy, and ensuring compliance across multiple markets.

This is a high-volume, execution-focused payroll role requiring direct involvement in payroll review, adjustments, and issue resolution. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment where accuracy and deadlines are critical.

This is not a purely HRIS or system configuration role. Candidates with only Workday or HR systems support experience and no direct payroll processing involvement will not be a fit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail Labor & Scheduling Oversight


- Act as the primary point of contact for Retail teams regarding payroll, labor hours, and scheduling alignment
- Partner with Store Managers and Market Leaders to ensure schedules align with budgeted hours and sales expectations
- Review schedules to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements

Payroll Operations


- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multi-unit retail locations
- Review and validate employee hours, overtime, PTO, and payroll adjustments
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and timekeeping issues
- Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations and wage laws
- Complete payroll audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution

Labor Budget & Cost Management


- Monitor labor spend versus budget across stores and markets
- Analyze payroll trends and identify cost drivers
- Support forecasting and budgeting efforts

Reporting & Process Improvement


- Prepare payroll and labor reports
- Improve payroll workflows and processes

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS


- 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience required (not solely HRIS/system support)
- Experience with multi-state, high-volume payroll environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, taxes, and garnishments
- Experience with ADP, Paycom, UKG, or similar systems
- Candidates with only Workday/HRIS configuration experience will not be considered
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

 

Compensation

65000-80000 per year
